2 Shirts

It's quite unusual to see me layered in two shirts...ever. Especially if it's not fall or winter.
But a couple of weeks ago, the weather was in the 70's with a cool breeze that made it feasible to layer up. Also, I bought these amazing Zara lookalike heels not too long ago and I couldn't resist matching head to toe.

Proud? You should be.

Best for Last

Last Thursday was the annual Global Studies Spring Dinner hosted at the Fort Bragg Officer's Club. I've attended this formal dinner ever since I was a freshman in high school. But this year as a senior, I received my Global Studies stole for graduation and even got the honor to say a speech. As I was enjoying this last and final dinner with my senior gals around the table, reality hit me then and there. This is it. After a routine of four years, I realized that yes, everyone complained about having to attend a formal dinner and shaking hands with important people and having to dress up (who complains about that, honestly), but when else would I ever be surrounded by classmates and friends that I've grown up with for many years? Chances like these don't come often. I'm so thankful to have attended the same high school all four years and I am also thankful to be graduating from it in 17 days.
I'm ready to start the next chapter of my life...beyond Fayetteville.

And the best part? I'm taking my blog with me.

P.S. Just wait until you see my graduation dress...

Red on Red

I tend to get sick of my hair throughout the week. That is why I like to try different hairstyles here and there. I found this hairstyle on Ashley's blog Golden Divine {you probably remember this post here} and fell in love with this easy go-to braid. It's also been a huge help towards my crazy, hectic schedule for May. I had my last Global Studies Spring Dinner (remember these? here + here } last night and I will be sharing those photos next week!

P.S. Graduating in  exactly 20 days!

Fun In the Southern Sun

I've always been a sucker for the peplum and flare skirt combo.
So when I found this darling peplum top on Florence Adams, I just knew I had to have it. Luckily, I won a Florence Adams gift card giveaway and therefore scored this for free! It's a comfy, cotton top that makes it feasible enough to wear in the Spring and Summer. Brownie points for it being a peplum.

SENIOR Prom

SENIOR prom felt almost like last year's prom. Same location, same group of friends... same shoes. The only thing that was different, mainly to my concern, was the 80° of humidity and heat. Thankfully, there was a slight breeze every now and then while taking pictures. Aubrey Carrington
styled my gorgeous waterfall braid / curls. She also styled my hair for a prom last week, prom last year + the Halloween Homecoming Dance. I owe her so much! I absolutely loved my hair, but obviously, the weather did not. Due to the humidity, the curls were slowly starting to fall out after pictures. This weekend was a blast. I spent the better half of Sunday with my family celebrating Mother's Day at a fancy Italian restaurant downtown.

How was your weekend?
