MACAROONS

I've been in love with macaroons ever since I saw them on Gossip Girl. I've always thought a box of macaroons would be the perfect gift to give especially around these holiday times, but unfortunately I've never gave anyone a box as a present. Simply because, it would probably be gone before I could even wrap it...haha.. in my stomach, that is. For those who haven't tried a macaroon before, let me explain this indulging gourmet treat.
Macaroons are crisp on the outside and smooth and soft in the middle, and are on the hot list of what to serve at your next event. Whether it being a holiday party or just an elegant one. They're available in so many different colors, you can customize your desserts to coordinate with your party. Ladurée is famous for their assortment of macaroons. And trust me, I've been on that site for a countless amount of hours...with a growling stomach and a hungry appetite.

Or purchase here at Williams-Sonoma.

Macaroons… the gorgeous colors, the amazing range of flavors and the way they make you feel like French Aristocracy, (before the revolution at least…)
You cannot deny that a macaroon is just about the most dainty and delicate dessert for the most stylish women around town.

The flavors include, pistachio, blueberry, passion fruit and Cristina’s favorite macaroon flavor: strawberry.

I am slightly obsessed with french macaroons, how can you not be?
Flavors like Jasmin mango, bergamot, lime and basil and praline make me go abit funny. Not too long ago, I sampled a french macaroon at a cute boutique once. Choosing the flavors was so hard and after much deliberation I chose salted caramel (one of my favorites), icy mint, coffee, blackcurrant, vanilla and rose.
The last couple of days, I spent some of my time watching re-runs of Gossip Girl. Watching them once isn't enough... I know, I know. I'm seriously obsessed with the show. And I couldn't help but notice those delish macaroons B was munching on when she was trying to "resist the loose Bass"...
And regardless of the fact that even Chuck Bass loves macaroons should be enough to get you hooked, like it did me.

And let's not forget Blair :)
