This girl will be glued to a desk for three and a half hours taking the SAT. It's dreadful, agonizing, a pain in the derrière and everything I detest about having to waste a perfectly beautiful Saturday morning when spring is well on its way. But then again, I can never escape this. So might as well get it over with. Can I get an amen with that?

Lately I have been keenly observant on the Internet for outfit combinations. Usually, these type of deals happen when I want to get something off my mind or when I am just bored and do these kind of things for fun (just go with my first assumption). With colors ranging form coral to aqua blue to orange, there's no denying that Spring colors have flooded my mind already. March 20th will come before you know it...

I am all for the bright pop of this aqua blue. With the right color accessories to match, what could honestly be better?

Despite the random brown belt, I am swooning over those shorts with the adorable bow tie. They are perfect for warm weather such as taking long strolls along the beach.

If you haven't noticed already, I am in love with coral and blue. If anyone finds those two colors in a dress, do notify me STAT. I'm not even kidding!

Feminine and flowy. This outfit makes me want to jump into a pile of flowers. No lie.

Last night, I was busy staring at my ceiling for the past hour or so before bed trying to make a decision. There's been so many things on my mind lately. Focusing on one solid thing just might be the death of me. But nonetheless, thank God it's Friday. I don't think I could spend another day without the comfort of my bed on an early morning. Sleep is much needed for the next few days.

This being the last day of February and all, I felt the situation called for a list of things I love.

1. I have been drinking lemon with water at least once a day. I love the feeling of a good and refreshing cleanse.

2. Peonies are my favorite flower. What better way to spend the sunny afternoon than with a bouquet of peonies that smell like spring?

3. Arm party. Without looking too overdone. From Song of Style

4. Red bow-shaped gloves. Classy and eye-popping on a chilly, winter day.

5. Mint-colored pants. These look phenomenal on Liz from Late Afternoon

Birthday Weekend

If I could relive the past weekend, I would. Due to an ugly tornado watch, school was released an hour early. On a Friday. On my birthday. Just wanting to clarify; those things do not usually happen quite often. So you could say happy was only an understatement. I spent the better half of my weekend with friends, eating sushi, taking photos with balloons, reading VOGUE and ELLE magazines, dressing up for parties, and better yet-- having the best time of my life.

And as for the curled hair, I have Meagan to thank for being my hair stylist for the weekend. Now if only I could persuade her to do my hair every day before school... I'm still working on that. I'll let you know how that goes.

17 Years

It's safe to say that I am now officially seventeen years old. Just knowing that I am one year closer to legality gives me chills. And thrills. I am planning on spending my birthday weekend with my wonderful friends and family. And... my birthday presents are well on their way via mail. Patience is something that I never have. Honestly. So I am pretty amazed to know that I have gotten through two weeks of waiting. Someone give me a gold star. You will see soon what I chose! Here if you remember...

Late Night Epiphany

The last time I mentioned Epiphany Boutique was here and here. As much as I would love to claim this one-of-a-kind lacy party dress, the appreciation goes out to my good friend Laura who lent me this dress. Last Saturday night was spent out in downtown Fayetteville at a extravagant and exquisite Italian restaurant called Pierro's to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday who is turning sixteen tomorrow.

I'll be turning seventeen on Friday... I couldn't be more blessed and excited to spend it with the people I love most.

Long weekends always turn out for the best, it seems. This weekend started off perfectly with friends, family, and unbelievably beautiful weather. I have always wanted an asymmetrical skirt. I know that's very cliché, considering there are a ton of things that I want. I have to say, finding this chiffon beauty stashed somewhere on a rack in Forever 21 was fate.

There are multiple times during when I get envious of other fashion bloggers being given the opportunity to attend New York Fashion Week. And if I had the only option of attending one fashion show (and hopefully that won't ever be the case), then Marchesa, you'd be it. I adore all of Marchesa's designs and wardrobe that they have to offer. I have always been in love with their collection, whether it be spring or fall. I just cannot get over how ethereal and polished each individual dress is.

What's your favorite collection during NYFW?

P.S. Yes, I have stared effortlessly at the video (on the bottom) in search for a prom dress because that is the most logical way to find one.

Other than playing soothing music such as Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat and Sara Bareilles on a playlist redundantly every night this week, I have been feeling pretty mellow lately. My routine from school to home is ordinarily the same. I feel as though I have fallen into a routine rut that just might be the gist of my problems. Anyone else feel like this sometimes? It feels as though I hardly pay attention to details anymore and there is nothing more pleasant than being able to knock out two topics in one blog post. Two for the price of one.

After this happened on Twitter the other day, I have been feeling more inspired than ever. And by inspired I mean, buying new pastel nailpolish, searching for vintage scarves in the back of my closet and spending more amount of time pairing the most unique items together. I always like to put it this way. Fashion is art. We add our own diverse taste into creating one big masterpiece. It is so effortless to spend a day's worth of clicking 'older posts' on Atlantic-Pacific. Trust me, a few of my friends and I did just that during class. Blair Eadie is my biggest role model. I look up to her like any girl would look up to Audrey Hepburn. Because of her, I am willing to try new things, combine varieties of colors, and even put in full consideration of buying the same Max&Chloe monogrammed necklace with my initials for my birthday- February 24th. She rocks it in such a fearless manner, that I just can't get enough.

Spring Swing

At times, I can get pretty dreary with the cold and bitter weather. That is when I long for the warm sun and high temperatures at a good 80° or mid-90°s. Yes, I am not one to deny my love for winter but after a couple of timeless weeks into winter, you seriously cannot blame me for wanting a change. Starting with the seasons, that is.

I don't know what's worse. Just now finding a vintage 1960s Nikon DSLR after so many years hidden in my dad's closet or... finding out it doesn't work. Oh, the disappointment that always has a way of coming around only to be a pain in the derrière. I spent this carefree day with my best friend and some Starbucks coffee. She is just quite the photographer. I have to give it to her. The sun was beaming with a hint of slight breeze. Such incredible weather and a bonhomous friend who I am grateful to have in my life. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Well hey, look on the bright side (a place brighter than where this sun is shining, obviously). It still makes quite a prop for picture taking, no?

Ever since I saw this picture on Don't Think Twice, I have been desiring to recreate the shot. With well...a much rather toy-like globe instead of a vintage clock which had a platform attached to the bottom. As you can see in the pictures, the base isn't connected anymore...(sorry little brother, didn't mean to break it). There's really nothing like a little mint splash with a eye-popping red necklace and a daring cobalt blue skirt to relax in for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Thank you Johanna from Handmade Dreams of Mine for this gracious award. I've decided that as an token of gratitude, I will do an 'About Me' list for those who want to know more about me. Here goes.

1. I sometimes wish I was a photographer. But that would require an expensive and high-quality camera and that's as far as that dream goes. Starbucks not included.

2. I have a weird obsession with color combinations. Like not too long ago, I have been obsessed with the two colors: teal and gold. (You'll see a post about this real soon!)

3. I love to work out. Absolutely love it. There isn't a day that I go on living without a little physical activity in my life.

4. I am a perfectionist. Sometimes. When I want to be. Just kidding. No, but really.

5. Like Blair Waldorf, macaroons are the most heavenly sweets to me. Gift me a Ladurée box and we're best friends. Just like that.

11. Last year I told one of my friends that my favorite color was gold. And so she got me this adorable jewelry mannequin for Christmas.

12. Jessica Lowndes is someone I've always wanted to hear live. I love her on 90210 and she has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard. This is no joke.

~~48 hours ago~~ Not too long ago, I adopted a new obsession. Chevron. There's something so intriguing about the zigzagged lines that seem to portray what seems to be a disparate pattern but yet analogous at the same time. I find it truly odd that this chevron pattern seemed unobtrusive to me for so many years after the many times I have laid eyes on it. All I do know is, this is bound to be a start of a new obsession. I would hold on to that chevron clutch of yours, if I were you.

I'm always inspired by Gossip Girl. That's nothing new. I felt as though this outfit was a mix between Blair Waldorf and Penelope Shafai {I never knew what her last name was. Thank God for Google. This week started off just right with a lazy Sunday like none other followed up with..why yes, another lazy Monday due to MLK Day. Though this being similiar to the "last week of school before summer" week minus the scorching sun and the temperature rise, I have been occupied lately with a full schedule and a bedroom that needs cleaning. Where's Dorota when you need her?

I love this intricate mirror that I pass by daily in the downstairs foyer.
I bought this top not too long ago for the adorable collar + bow that came along with it. I feel as though this will be a definite staple year long since I can either wear a shirt underneath or wear it bare in the summertime. Tops like these are hard to find. But when you do, it's the greatest feeling in the world.

As any other fashion blogger, tweeting and blogging about the Golden Globes last night was a necessity. I am still gushing over the events of last night. But that's totally the norm. Am I right or am I right? I adored and swooned over the stunning dresses and the gracious women wearing them that arrived on the red carpet. It was all about who attended as much as it was about who they were wearing. I have compiled a few of my favorites from the events of last night.

Zooey Deschanel in a custom made Prada gown. The ivory collar + pop of emerald green surely doesn't disappoint. What a stunner.

Charlize Theron in Dior. Her vintage Cartier brooch placed on her waist adds a pop of glitz and glamour.

Keep Your Head High, Your Heels Higher

A few nights ago, I had the pleasure of attending a friend of mine Kai's sweet 16 party. It was a very intimate soirée with a few of my favorite people. It was one of those nights where I felt compelled to escape and forget everything else that was on my mind. A quick and mindless getaway in other words. Walking around in heels for long periods of time has become one of many skills I have mastered but dancing in heels is another thing. ~~Walking~~ Staggering upstairs to my bedroom after I arrived home took me a good five minutes. Just saying.
All in all, it was a fun-filled and well spent night and may I add, a great workout.

Now that I'm done with the huge calculus final that I have been literally killing myself over, I can now say that I am relieved to have gotten it over with. My best friend and I enjoyed a pleasant impromptu photoshoot on a concourse a few days ago and it was much needed to end a long tough week. Sometimes all we need to do is to break out and take a 'Blair & Serena' Gossip-Girl photoshoot. Nike. Just Do It. But of course, minus the pastel dresses and New York surroundings for better scenery. Until then, all we have are brick walls and grass and whatever else that is left in barren good old Fayetteville.*

*If it isn't obvious enough, I like to over-exaggerate everything about Fayetteville. S stands for sarcasm. As if it isn't obvious enough.

Even though this week is only beginning, I can already feel as though these next few five days will be a tough one. My negative assumptions are usually for the best considering everything I assume turns out to be the complete opposite. What's that they say? Hope for the best and plan for the worst? Yeah, duly noted. Starting this week off with a test this morning usually leaves me feeling exhausted, tense and nervous. I suppose it's to be expected, but it's certainly not the best way to start a brand new week.

Normally I jot reminders on paper but this one I felt willing to share. I have just recently found Fashion Coolture's blog through Chictopia and for the past few hours I have become very well acquainted with the 'older posts' button. Quite the inspiration.

1. Buy eye-popping colored clutches.

2. Invest in a pair of high-waisted scalloped shorts.

3. Layers. Maxi skirt layered over a gold sequined dress with a lace button-down.

4. Wear blue + sea green color combos not just on Earth Day. {#justajoke}

5. Realize that her shoes are simply amazing (and so is that dress) and that finding a pair of those is mighty slim.

Blue and Me Forever

This week was long and I must have asked my brother which day it was more times than I care to recall. This is how it usually feels the first week after break. Usually after having spent a two-weeks long winter break, my mind doesn't adjust to the realization that I'm in school and waking up late isn't an option. But it's definitely hit me pretty early this week since my teachers have clearly made their point of the fact that finals are in two weeks. It is literally etched in my brain. I GOT IT. After the millionth reminder, of course.

You would expect that Christmas and New Year's would pass as chilly weather that has us gripping for coats and bundling up with scarves up to our necks but that's not how it works for the remaining few days of 2011. Because of the fact that it's Leap Year this year, I cannot come up with a better solution to why this week has started off so frigid compared to the holidays that were only last week. And all this thinking and problem-solving is only giving me a headache which I can save for school. Which started today. Cancellation Frustration

As much as I love my family, there's one thing you have to know about them. They often have the tendency to have impromptu last minute change-ups. Like our trip to D.C. to spend with my dad's side of the family was cancelled and replaced with them coming to our house in two days. But now, as of last night we are officially going up to D.C. for New Year's.
The good: I want to get out Fayetteville and if that means only for one night, then so be it.
The bad: I honestly detest last minute plans. If I had to choose a pet peeve that would be it.
To stay positive about this dilemma, I felt the situation called for soothing photography that allows me to keep calm and acknowledge that everything will be alright. A tranquil peace that even yoga cannot touch.

I do believe that this denim "cardigan" is actually a dress in which I wore freshman year to school. Yes, how scandalous. And now before you start judging me as a slut, I would like to intrude your thoughts to clearly specify that I swear this dress was actually a dress and by all means I mean down-to-my-lower-thighs-dress which probably means I have grown a few inches. Didn't think that was possible but that is the only reason I can think of...right now. With that in mind, this denim "whateveryouwishtocallit" is most certainly going to be a staple during these cold months (well excuse me, IF it gets colder around here). Or an easy to-go outfit paired with solid-colored long sleeves shirts, black denims and maybe a pair of wedges.

If you've been reading my tweets lately, I have been obsessing over glitter. I believe that my glitter insanity has something to do with the holiday and all its festivities that come with it. I blame you, December. There's no one else I'd rather spend Christmas with than my family. We ended our night with healthy pita wraps {my speciality}, a glass of sparkling/wine and countless nonstop laughter from childhood videos that varied from talent shows to fashion shows {I think I lost my eyes at that moment} to videos we never knew existed.
Nothing beats family time.

Christmas Eve

Despite Fayetteville's inability to acknowledge Christmas is tomorrow, I have chosen to believe that I will celebrate Christmas like any other year despite the sun and flowers and summer weather. This year I am seriously tempted to go buy some snow spray and prance around the front yard spraying every inch of the grass with it. I'm a visual person and just maybe if I see a glance of "snow" I just might be able to take this Christmas seriously. Last year my mom went to spend Christmas and New Year's with my grandparents in South Korea and this year I am thrilled to say she will be spending Christmas here with me in Fayetteville with the rest of the family.

The Recommendation

The last two days have been the most laziest days I've spent ever since school started back in August. Ever since winter break started, I have casted all my worries aside. Including a test that I know for a fact failed on Friday but like I said. Worries aside. Within the last few days, I have already found a way of boring myself out with scrapbooking, pinteresting {is that a word?}, and even watching movies every night and Gossip Girl/90210/Pretty Little Liars re-runs. I could never get tired of Upper East Side scandals mixed in with a little Beverly Hills gossip and maybe a pinch of Rosewood drama all in one night. Don't judge me.

Though, I did watch The Help last night and I must say it was one of the most powerful and most beautiful movies I've seen in a long time. Hands down, phenomenal. I would go deeper in depth but let's leave the movie critiquing to the critics, shall we?

In fact...I would love to hear a few of your movie recommendations. My laptop A-Dell and I would be delighted to read your picks. I'll read your choices and fill you in on which one I decide!

The Sun will Rise

Those who know me are aware of the fact that I make lists for everything and I couldn't emphasize it enough. Making a list not only comes in handy but it keeps me organized.
So with just 12 days left of this year, I've put together a list of things needing to be accomplished within that time frame.

1. Get my highlights redone--December 29th.

2. Memorize my way around Fayetteville {license in 16 days!}.

3. Ponder on the thought of buying my sister Ray Ban wayfarers for Christmas and try to do so without thinking of whether I should borrow them 24/7 or not because I've always wanted a pair too...

4. Figure out what I'm doing with my classes next semester.

5. Maybe work on my school work {highly unlikely. The procrastinator that I am...}

6. Distribute my Christmas gifts to friends. My laziness gets me. Every time.

7. Buy a beret from American Apparel. Anyone want to recommend me a color? I'm thinking navy.

8. Persuade my dear mother that even though these are $64.99, I deserve a pair of these Wonder Wedges from ModCloth because I have been such a bonhomous, good-hearted, caring, gracious, loving daughter for these past 16 years. ~~Usually works~~. Must come up with a better reason in the meantime...

9. Persuade my mother to also consider this Suedette Crop Jacket from Forever 21 because then I can walk around and say 'Michael Jackson's got nothing on me' and have the red jacket to prove it.

10. Find a cure for blogging/social networking obsession.

With all things that go with love and cheer, a little festive Tacky Christmas sweater party comes into play around this time of year. What's better than a holiday soirée with Christmas right around the corner? {Why yes, I've embraced that fact now. If you remember from here}. The night was filled with Chinese food (hence a scarf Chinese Christmas Exchange), cupcakes, and reindeer-styled cookies. I'm a firm believer of ending the year on a good note in order to start a new one. And now this marks the beginning of my winter break which I plan on taking full advantage of. The last week before Christmas break usually consists of crazy gift wrapping + last minute mall runs + getting good grades to start the fourth and final quarter off. New classes, new year. I'm thrilled, needless to say. The next two days will be spent with a Christmas tacky sweater party with friends which I am dying to share my party attire with everyone, (I will take tons of pictures) and a girl's sorority Chinese Christmas exchange at Mellow Mushroom on Friday. With the holidays fast approaching, spending time with family and friends is just how I imagined this indubitable season to be.

I enjoyed a eventful girl's weekend with my best friend Meagan. Last mentioned here. Since math is my least favorite subject and we do not agree when it comes to the uh...having to show work portion, I'm going to make this equation as simple as possible.

Christmas sweater shopping + early morning starbucks run + crazy traffic + no sense of direction = Our crazy and hectic Saturday morning.

We spent the most of that day running around Fayetteville. Maybe it's about time I get acquainted with the roads and street names of my own city... the realization of how clueless I am with direction frightens me a tad since you know...I'm getting my license and all and that's vital information. What's the point of having a car without knowing where to go? Looks like the map and I are going to be best friends this Christmas break.

In other words, long story short: Put two clueless people in a car and what do you get?

Finally got around to decorating my house with holiday décor.

I spent the better half of my Saturday night running around the house with Christmas lights, ornaments, and waltzing about spraying a vanilla sugar sprinkle Febreze scent throughout the house. You would've believed it was Christmas by the looks of it.Would I lie?
That's rhetorical. Don't answer that.

I can either use the creativity within me to recreate a little holiday cheer inside my bedroom or start adding on to holiday ideas over the next few days. But in the meantime, I can envy over Christmas decorated homes, no?

I'm proud to finally be announcing that Fayetteville, North Carolina has realized the true definition of fall. Round of applause.

The genius that I am decided to wear shorts while running outside this afternoon. The wind was blowing ferociously and I had to stop to dodge the whirlwind of leaves that blew out of the trees and into my face. And yes, in this kind of weather I would wear shorts. Oh, maybe that explains why those people driving by looked at me all funny. Well, at least I learned my lesson. Even if it was the hard way. (Mental note: Wear sweatpants next time I go for a run.) Duly noted.

PS- My hair has been growing longer and I'd like your opinion on what I should do with my hair next.

Other than the fact that I had a swell Thanksgiving with my family, I arrived home safely from DC. Someone give me a gold star for suffering a 5-hour road trip with every family member squished up in the car. Well, there went my entire Saturday which only means Sunday... it's time to get serious. Procrastinating at its finest. It's been a while since I've done one of these posts. So you might be wondering, why start now? Well, my response? Why not.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I felt the need to have a stereotypical Thanksgiving blog post along with every other blogger who's probably doing the same. The time of year to gather around with family and friends to cherish and make memories with the ones we love. The day when we greet loved ones, eat pumpkin pie, and gather around to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm heading up to D.C. early Thursday morning to have one big family reunion for the holidays. I'm taking every advantage of getting out of this blessed city of Fayetteville for the rest of the week and I am almost positive that it won't be missed.

It's funny how things don't always go the way you plan, but whatever the outcome, you make it work. Quite similar to a morning like mine. I had no intention of wearing a dress nor tights at all. In fact, I was all set for wearing a chambray long-sleeve button-down with pants, but that's a different blog post. My point is, I had intended on wearing those things only to find that neither of those things were in my closet! So what does one do to find a outfit that doesn't scream bum or I was too lazy this morning in a matter of minutes?

The only important thing you probably learned from this story was, that within those minutes of desperation, flinging of closet doors, scarves thrown one way or another... I finally settled for something with the snap of my fingers. And I was much rather impressed to hear compliments throughout the day on my attire even though I hardly even glanced at what I was wearing until...well, later.

Typical every day morning: Grab...and go.

For any guys reading this, a wardrobe is an important part of a woman's life. Ladies, I know there's no argument there.

Extreme Bedroom Makeover: Grace Edition

Weekends are always marked with a clear ending to yet another unexpected and unforeseen week. I always aspire for change and reflect back on something that I can do better the next week that I haven't achieved the week before. I know I mentioned a couple of posts ago, that I was dedicating most of my Labor Day weekend to a room makeover and buying my brand new car. I also remember promising pictures, no? Sometimes, I like to ponder back through my old posts in the earlier years of blogging and re-read over my write-ups for inspiring words. I came across a few of my old posts on my bedroom before the change. {here and here}. I have to admit, the change-up and buying process took forever, but in the end...it was all worth it.

Quick Time

The thought of knowing that Thanksgiving is right around the corner makes me want to just stop everything that I am doing, freeze and soak in what's left of this year. I am still in utter shock that one month from now, it'll be Christmas. The greatest time of the year.

I took these pictures last week when the weather actually felt like fall. This week...it feels like summer and I am rather perplexed by the bipolar weather Fayetteville witnesses every once in a while. School today was atrocious. I might as well shown up in a tank top and flip-flops, that way we could all just lay back in our desks and tan from the scorching sun pouring in from the windows at school. Well okay, extremely exaggerated that. But the fact that it was 81° was not an exaggeration.

This beautiful raincoat was bought in London a while back. I adore it. Even though it's not mine. It's my mom's if you remember here. I tried something new for a change and belted it in a unique sort of way and embraced the chilly Sunday afternoon.

Ombre This, Ombre That

SKILLZ.

I get inspired easily with the little things. When I saw this nail art from Going West, I knew ~~this had to be accomplished~~ I had to tweet it first. I was slightly astounded with the ombre styling and thought I should give it a go. Is it odd that I have my nail polish set memorized? You're probably thinking, "No Grace, not at all." Sarcasm. With pun intended.

I spent the better half of my three-day-weekend with a room makeover and buying my brand new car. I don't start driving until January 4th (keep this date in mind people ~~so you can stay off the roads~~). With all jokes aside, I'm a splendid driver, I swear. Nevertheless, these two processes consume so much time, and the fact that I accomplished both of these things this weekend stuns me for that matter. I'll have pictures up for my newly organized bedroom and my car sooner or later. There's still a few tidbits that need to find its way to its designated place but other than that? I had a spectacular weekend and I wouldn't mind spending it the same way if I had the chance.

I love how this weather is constantly surprising me with chilly mornings and sunny afternoons. I was feeling a little "Gossip Girl" early Sunday morning and there is nothing I can say negatively about this dear plaid jacket which I bring out every time the leaves change colors. It has a cape-ish feature with the big sleeves and it's more patulous near the front. I love pairing it with an LBD and a pair of colored tights, which is...what Blair Waldorf would wear.

Honestly, I am so thankful that typing only requires the pressing of keys. Thank you, technology! My hand is cramped and numb from writing this four-page essay that took me all night to write. Ah, yes. Procrastination at its finest. But hey, I was suffering from the enjoying-the-most-of-my-weekend-before-I-am-put-to-my-misery-again disease, so can you really blame me?

Yes, it's a disease. I catch it every Fridays.

A few weeks back, one of my best friends Meagan called this nail trend the "statement nail" and to say I've been using those words at a minimum would definitely be an understatement. I love the "statement nail" trend and I have been relishing the pop of glittery gold every time I glimpse at my nails. I adored Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere's here and couldn't resist not trying.

I have been doing multiple things to my hair to embrace this fall season. But of all things (there weren't that many to begin with, I assure you), I have fallen in love with this new hairstyle that I like to call, the 'hair headband'. If you haven't noticed, I like to keep my trend names sweet and simple. Don't judge.

It's been kind of a bizarre week for me. I don't know if it was because of the three-day-Halloween-weekend or just because it's already November and that's another month closer to Christmas, but I've been just about all over the place. And here's something to top it off. Of all days, how many times can you say that your school was dismissed for the rest of the day due to a fire incident in the school cafeteria? Not many. I have to say, the cafeteria workers must have went overboard with their "smoked" sausages. I've been tweeting about it; for those who haven't been following me by now. #shameonthem

It was an unexpectedly, eccentric kind of day. One that you only have one chance to encounter. And here was mine.

Weeks like these don't come along that often. But when they do, they sure are sweet.

Since today marks the official last day of the October, it only felt right to compile a list of things I did or loved in the past 31 days. All in dedication to this wonderful, fun-filled month. If you remember {here}, I'm a sucker for lists. It's imperative I jot everything down on sticky notes, whenever and wherever I can possible. It may sound like I'm a perfectionist, but hey. This Weather Calls for Leather

It's beautiful weather like these that call for a leather jacket.

When I woke up this morning, I had this biker/rocker chic sensation going on. Please tell me it's obvious.

I did a little mix-up with my favorite red statement necklace and threw on some booties. Preppy rocker? What can I say, it felt like an oxymoron-type-of-day. Anyway, (wow, I had no intention of all the rhyming...)

I'm not going to lie. I lost my black tights somewhere in that closet of mine. Ashamed? Yes, that would be the word. I mean, how does that happen? How does one lose a pair of tights? Well, apparently I have proven it is possible and I'm stuck with these until I buy another pair. Whenever that may be.

Meet my beautiful friend Rachel. I was in love with her outfit and a picture was necessary.

I've told this guy in AP Cal class multiple times that if braiding hair was as easy as Calculus, I'd score an A. Every time. I love fishtail-braiding and decided to try something new. Who said seasons were the only things that changed?

As Halloween nears, so does my love for fall.

Scarves are a magical thing. I love the way a simple and easy scarf can change up your entire outfit, which is basically my wardrobe for the colder months. There's nothing like throwing on a blazer on a much rather crisp day with fall attire that is cute to boot. Today is basically my "Friday" since there is no school tomorrow. I mean, it's about time we had a break. I wonder how long a person can go before their head literally explodes. Knowledge is a great thing, don't get me wrong. Over exceeding its capacity is another. Now onto a positive note...

I've always been a fan of 90210 on the CW every Monday nights (along with Gossip Girl).

But a few episodes ago, Ivy said something that made me realize that I should be thankful for what I have.

"It's just that, I look around me Silver, and all I see are people who have it SO good and they don't even realize it. You know, they don't know how to appreciate what they have while they have it."

There's times in life when you're going to just want to sit back and think of all the memories that you cherish so dearly that have impacted your life.
Old memories.
They're bittersweet.
I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, let alone Halloween, but to start this Monday off right, I just wanted to take time to post some of the things that I'm thankful for.

My family are my best friends. I can always rely on them the most.

Some of the technology that I have.

Florals growing in my backyard. SO beautiful during spring time.

Having the opportunities to go to places like New York City. Some people wait a lifetime.

My diverse scarf collection. Meet my Louis. He's one of my favorites scarves. There isn't a winter when I don't wear it.

My hair that looks like this every December. I'm ecstatic to get highlights this winter.

My creative and artistic sense for fashion.

Drinking coffee in the mornings. So beyond thankful for this energy boost. God knows I need it.

And how could I not forget? I'm so thankful for this blog and all the readers that show their appreciation through comments :)
